As a General Partner at Hivers and Strivers, Doug Doan invests exclusively in companies led and founded by military vets and especially grads of US Service Academies. With over 14 years of experience in this niche sector, Doan has developed a deep understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities that veteran entrepreneurs face in the market.

Doan’s mission is to support and empower veteran-led startups with capital, mentorship, and access to a network of fellow investors and founders who share the same values and vision. Doan leverages his MPA from Harvard Kennedy School and his BS from West Point (’79) to evaluate the potential and impact of the ventures he backs, as well as to provide strategic guidance and leadership. Doan is passionate about helping veteran founders achieve their goals and create value for their customers, communities, and stakeholders.
