Here are some of the newest jobs that are only available to Guardians.

Space Domain Awareness Specialist

Space Domain Awareness specialists monitor the space environment to detect, track and identify objects in space that could pose a threat to national security. That might be anything from balloons to enemy satellites or debris. This new job requires a great attention to detail and a lot of focus.

Cyber System Operator

As a new member of the Space Force, a Cyber System Operators might appear to you. These tech-savvy professionals play a critical role in protecting the Space Force’s networks and systems from cyber threats. They use their expertise to analyze networks, detect security incidents, and develop effective security measures. In this ever-changing digital landscape, the work of Cyber System Operators is more important than ever. They help ensure the safety and security of the Space Force’s assets.

Orbital Warfare Officer

New to the Space Force, the Orbital Warfare Officer is responsible for planning and executing space-based offensive and defensive operations. Their duties involve analyzing data and using space-based assets to detect, track, and engage potential threats to U.S. national security. They also work to disable enemy satellites and protect U.S. satellites from attacks, making sure they operate effectively. Space Battle Manager

To begin with, Space Battle Managers are officers responsible for overseeing space operations at a tactical level. Secondly, this involves managing the allocation of space resources and providing situational awareness to military commanders. Thirdly, they use a variety of tools and technologies to analyze data. With that date, they then make informed decisions that help protect U.S. national security interests. As a result, Space Battle Managers help develop and execute plans that ensure the safety and success of space-based missions. Moreover, this new role requires strong leadership, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. Space System Operators

Enlisted Guardians operate and manage satellites and ground-based equipment to support space missions. They are known as Space Systems Operators. Space Systems Operators are responsible for planning and executing spacecraft launches, conducting orbit transfers, and maintaining communication with other spacecraft, including the International Space Station. They also work with other Space Force personnel to perform mission planning and spacecraft troubleshooting.
