“From the brains of Deadpool and a producer on Top Gun: Maverick” comes Ghosted, an action-adventure romantic comedy starring Chris Evans as a guy who gets ghosted by recently Oscar-nominated Ana de Armas. Telling himself she hasn’t responded to his many MANY messages because “she doesn’t have an international calling plan,” he flies to London to surprise her, only to be kidnapped and interrogated by dangerous criminals who are also looking for Sadie — a CIA agent.

Turning Captain America into a damsel-in-distress partnered with Ana de Armas’ time-proven master spy makes for a fun concept. This will be the third film Evans and de Armas have appeared in together, following de Armas’ breakout role in Rian Johnson’s Knives Out and the Russo Brothers’ The Grey Man.
It’s hard to believe Chris Evans would have to simp for anyone, but if your crush is an internationally wanted spy evading “every bounty hunter on the continent” then maybe there’s an excuse.
“You got me kidnapped and tortured — all after one date,” Cole tells Sadie as they flee an explosion.
“You’re the one who flew to London,” she retorts. Talk about a romantic gesture gone wrong. My bet is that things work out for these two kids, though.
Adrien Brody, Mike Moh, Amy Sedaris and Tate Donovan also star in the upcoming film directed by Dexter Fletcher with a screenplay penned by Rhett Reese, Paul Wernick, Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers.
The film will stream on Apple TV+ on April 21, 2023.
