PILLAR Deployment Retreat has offered camaraderie, information, and entertainment to nearly 5,000 military spouses and significant others since their first retreat five years ago. The goal? To support spouses and significant others experiencing — or anticipating — a military separation, like deployment, TAD/TDY, or geobaching.

“Deployment is a stressful time for military families. We want to make this season of life one that is transformative and healthy,” Becky Hoy, Army spouse and Co-Host of PILLAR whose family is currently stationed in Hawaii, shared.

This October, military spouses from across the country and globe will convene online to learn best practices and practical advice on dealing with military separations from over 20 military and lifestyle experts. Each day of the retreat will feature a curated selection of high-quality presentations, panel discussions and valuable giveaways.

“We want as many military spouses and significant others to attend and enjoy the wealth of knowledge offered from our speakers,” Joanna Guldin-Noll, spouse of a Navy veteran and Co-Host of PILLAR, told WATM. “That’s why PILLAR offers both live and replay options so that attendees can watch and rewatch when they need to.”

This year’s virtual retreat will take place online October 18-20 and feature keynote speakers Simone Gorrindo, author of bestselling memoir The Wives, General Robert Labrutta from USAA, and military influencer Maria Reed. Other speakers include Adriene Engstrom from Blue Star Families, Top Chef contestant and military spouse Lauren Hope, and Ohio MIC3 Commissioner Pete LuPiba. Darian Leigh, singer and songwriter of “10,000 Miles,” an anthem for military couples, will perform a concert just for attendees.
