The Army-Navy Game is always a who’s who of the military world, and the 125th running presented by USAA is no exception. President-elect Trump, Vice President-elect J.D. Vance, and nominee for Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth waved to the crowds from their suite as onlookers chanted “U.S.A, U.S.A!” around them. Joining Trump and Vance in their suite is a “star-studded” list of political insiders, reportedly including Elon Musk, John Thune, Tulsi Gabbard, Ron DeSantis, and others.
In addition to the president-elect’s closest advisors, Marine veteran Daniel Penny is in attendance. Penny was acquitted of criminally negligent homicide this week in the chokehold death of an agitated subway rider in New York who was threatening violence. Penny was invited by Vance yesterday, who posted on social media, “Daniel’s a good guy, and New York’s mob district attorney tried to ruin his life for having a backbone. I’m grateful he accepted my invitation and hope he’s able to have fun and appreciate how much his fellow citizens admire his courage.”
