With roots running deep in Oregon, Jessie G. spent much of her childhood aboard the hand-built family boat catching fish and performing for the customers at her family’s restaurant.

Jessie’s life changed when she won an opening slot on Grammy Award winner Gretchen Wilson’s Portland tour date, which would change her entire trajectory. Upon hearing her sing, Gretchen invited her onto her tour bus and urged Jessie to begin the journey that every young country singer-songwriter must embark upon—she moved to Nashville.

Her latest radio single, “Like My Whiskey” (ft. Gretchen Wilson), has gained steam across radio and all streaming platforms, making Jessie one of the top independent artists on the Music Row charts and continuing to climb up the Mediabase chart. Jessie’s new hits come on the heels of her highly successful debut EP and singles, “You Lit a Fire,” “Whatever This Is,” and “Army Ranger,” which all made loud statements on radio worldwide, featuring heartfelt music videos that amassed millions of views online and on national networks.

Now, Jessie tours across the country, performing at festivals, arenas, and venues around the world – most notably, for our troops whose iconic blue uniform inspired Jessi’s new song “Dress Blues”. Most recently, Jessie performed the National Anthem at the Green Bay Packers vs. Miami Dolphins NFL game, streaming to viewers worldwide

As a new mother and military spouse, Jessie draws significant inspiration from her personal experiences, in her new single “Dress Blues,”  especially from her husband, who served in the Special Forces as a Green Beret.

“Dress Blues” pulls from her own life and the experiences of others connected to the military. The song beautifully narrates the journey of a military relationship, highlighting both the emotional complexities and the resilience required. Additionally, it explores the poetic evolution of the Dress Blues military uniform itself, symbolizing sacrifice, honor, and the deep bonds formed through service. Through this song, Jessie captures the essence of military life, making it relatable to anyone who has navigated the challenges of such relationships. Already gaining attention from Nashville’s Local on 2, streaming on the Opry’s WSM RadioWhiskey Riff, and others.

“Something that always made an impression on myself as a military spouse was that this one uniform was worn for weddings, military balls and many other formal events, but then it is also worn to funerals and some service members are buried in their Dress Blues. In the song specifically, the uniform is there from the beginning till the end, and it changes meaning as the story of the song develops.”

“Dress Blues” is now streaming on all platforms.
